SJB hands in proposals to abolish Executive Presidency

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said the SJB has submitted to Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeyawardene proposals for abolishing the executive presidency.

This is among the proposals that the SJB has submitted to the Government to be included in the 21st Amendment to the Constitution. Premadasa said that they propose a system which will hand over power to the Parliament.
