The Royal College Old Boys’ East Coast Foundation welcomed the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations, H.E. Jayantha Jayasuriya, PC, at a special gathering held in New York, United States.
The evening, hosted by Foundation Past President Rushdhun Ramzy, took place at Lungi South Indian & Sri Lankan Restaurant in Manhattan. The occasion brought together a distinguished group of past presidents, committee members, and foundation members in celebration of the organisation’s long-standing commitment to service, fellowship, and tradition. During the event, Past President Vajira Gunawardene and Founding Member and Past President Ravi Karunaratne reflected on the remarkable contributions of the Foundation over the past 30 years. They also acknowledged the invaluable support of major benefactors, including Dini Communications Prashanth Wijeyadasa and Dr. Sukumar Nagendran, whose generous contributions continue to strengthen the Foundation’s efforts both in the US and Sri Lanka. The evening was marked by camaraderie, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to furthering the Foundation’s mission of giving back to the community.
