The CA Sri Lanka – Australia Chapter Inc. recognises the important role our business diaspora can play in social and economic recovery efforts of Sri Lanka. Establishing a common platform for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and businesspeople in Australia to connect and collaborate with their counterparts in Australia and Sri Lanka, and respective government agencies is fundamental to meeting this objective. To that end, the CA Sri Lanka – Australia Chapter Inc., is proud to announce its first business forum, ‘Reignite Sri Lanka 2023’, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Melbourne, Australia scheduled to be held at Crown Melbourne on Wednesday, 17 May.

Reignite Sri Lanka 2023 aims to facilitate greater collaboration, sharing knowledge and experience, and engagement among the Sri Lankan business community in Australia, their counterparts in Australia and Sri Lanka and respective government agencies to support economic and social recovery and development efforts in Sri Lanka. This event is an excellent platform for promoting businesses, fostering collaborations, and improving trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.

The target audience for Reignite Sri Lanka 2023, business forum includes the Sri Lankan business community in Australia, Australian investors, and representatives from media and chambers of commerce. The event features speeches from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) President Sanjaya Bandara, Consul General of Sri Lanka to Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania Sandith Samarasinghe, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Chairman Chalaka Gajabahu, and key representatives of the business community in Australia. 

The event offers opportunities to promote businesses, collaborate with business representatives, and share experiences with speakers and the broader business community in Australia. Reignite Sri Lanka 2023 also aims to promote Sri Lanka as a preferred tourist destination, Climate Prosperity Plan of Sri Lanka and investment opportunities with Colombo Port City.
