President Maithripala Sirisena rejected the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) Report on the Easter Sunday attacks when it was presented to Cabinet on Tuesday.

The President requested that the minutes of the day’s meeting not record that the report was approved by Cabinet but only say it was presented for the purpose of record.

The PSC Report which was presented to Parliament last week has faulted President Sirisena for many of the security lapses that took place which led to the terror attacks.

It will be debated in Parliament in the coming weeks and referred to the Attorney General to follow up on the findings.
