Prabath Chandrakeerthi has been appointed the Commissioner General of Essential Services.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has made the appointment as per the powers vested in him under Emergency (Various Provisions and Powers) Regulations No. 11(1), issued under the Emergency Regulations, No. 1 of 2025, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential services and to oversee the coordination of all such activities.
Chandrakeerthi also serves as the Plantations and Community Infrastructure Ministry Secretary.
