President AKD gets State welcome ceremony in Malé

The official State welcome ceremony for President Anura Kumara Disanayake, who is currently on a State visit to the Maldives, was held yesterday at the Republic Square in the capital city of Malé.

President Disanayake was warmly received upon his arrival at the Republic Square by Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu with full honours.

Following this, President Disanayake was accorded a guard of honour by the Maldivian National Defence Force and joined in on observing the ceremonial parade of the military.

Subsequently, an introduction between the Maldivian hosts and the Sri Lankan delegation took place.
