Power Minister reviews generation plan for next 12 months

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera revealed that the Ministry has conducted a comprehensive review of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB)’s power generation plan for the upcoming 12 months. 

This review encompassed various crucial aspects, including system maintenance requirements, hydroelectric capacity, weather forecast predictions, plans for unloading coal cargo, customer service considerations, and issues pertinent to the electricity sector. Minister Wijesekera held discussions with the management and officials of the CEB and System Control to delve into these critical areas and ensure a robust and sustainable energy strategy for the country.
