Parliament approves members to Committee of Selection 

Parliament yesterday approved members to the Committee of Selection, which comprises of 12 Government and Opposition members. The 12 members of the Committee are Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dinesh Gunawardena, Johnston Fernando, Douglas Devananda, Dallas Allahaperuma, Wimal Weerawansa, Prasanna Ranatunga and MPs Lakshman Kiriella, Gayantha Karunatilleke, Rauff Hakeem, Vijitha Herath and Selvam Adekaranathan.

The Committee of Selection, which is chaired by the Speaker, will nominate members to serve in another Parliamentary Committee.
