Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted President Anura Kumara Dissanayake by telephone Tuesday night to express his deep condolences over the tragic loss of lives and extensive damage to property caused by the disaster, the President’s Media Division said.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed profound sorrow over the scale of destruction and assured the unwavering support of the Government of Pakistan for Sri Lanka’s recovery and rebuilding efforts.
