PM office says warm public welcome in Italy

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa was felicitated by a large crowd of people near his hotel in Bologna, Italy, according to a statement from his office. 

It said many gathered near the hotel premises on Sunday to watch and greet the Prime Minister leaving to join the G20 Interfaith Forum.

The Prime Minister extended his greetings to the people and expressed his gratitude to everyone. 

Rajapaksa addressed the inaugural session of the G20 Interfaith Forum Sunday afternoon and the forum will continue until 14 September, the statement added.
