The National Transport Commission (NTC) Chairman Dileepa Vitharana, has stepped down from his position.
He is the third Chairman of an institution under the purview of Transport, Highways Ports and Civil Aviation Minister Bimal Rathnayake has resigned.
It is reported that he has submitted the relevant resignation letter to the Transport Ministry. However, the reason for his resignation has not been disclosed yet.
Previously, the Sri Lanka Transport Board Chairman Ramal Siriwardena and the National Institute of Transport Medicine Chairman Ruwan Wijayamuni also resigned from their positions.
