Marshad Barry appointed Chairman of Waqf Board

Marshad Barry has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Waqf Board by Buddhasasana, Religious Affairs and Cultural Affairs Minister Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi.

A senior official at Amana Bank, Marshad Barry also serves as the Deputy Head of the #OrphanCare project conducted by the bank.

He is currently the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council and an active member of several civil society organisations, including the Sri Lanka Muslim Media Forum and the Rotary Club.

The official charter for the newly appointed members of the 27th Waqf Board was presented yesterday by the Religious and Cultural Affairs Deputy Minister Munir Mulaffer.
