Lanka IOC yesterday announced new restrictions on the sale of petrol to better manage the rising demand. 

For two-wheelers, the maximum amount that can be pumped is Rs. 1,500 and for three-wheelers it will be Rs. 2,500. For four wheelers the cap is Rs. 7,000. LIOC said the new limits are with immediate effect and regrets the inconvenience caused.
