Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah has said his country has been attacked by a neighbouring State it considers a sister nation despite not allowing its territory or airspace to be used against it.
In remarks on escalating regional tensions, the Emir said authorities have directed that the level of preparedness be raised while maintaining public reassurance.
Urging vigilance, he warned that the region is witnessing rapid developments and an unprecedented escalation.
The Emir also called on the public to avoid spreading rumours or incitement that could fuel unrest.
