Justice Corea sworn in as Acting President of Court of Appeal

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Court of Appeal Judge Mayadunna Sri Mevan Anthony Edirimannasuriya Corea as Acting President of the Court of Appeal.

The appointment was made as the incumbent President of the Court of Appeal, President’s Counsel Nalin Rohantha Abeysooriya, is scheduled to be overseas until 24 September, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

Justice Corea was sworn in as Acting President of the Court of Appeal before President Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (21).

Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake was also present at the swearing-in ceremony.
