Indian actor Mohanlal visits Parliament

Indian film icon Mohanlal yesterday visited the Sri Lankan Parliament.

The actor was warmly welcomed by Deputy Speaker Rizvie Salih, with lawmakers acknowledging his presence as he observed proceedings from the public gallery.

Mohanlal is currently in Sri Lanka for a 10-day schedule for the second phase of filming Director Mahesh Narayanan’s latest project.

He had praised Sri Lanka as a “shooting-friendly location” with “beautiful and fresh settings,” expressing interest in pursuing more film projects locally.

The actor has previously shot scenes in Sri Lanka for six days as part of the same film, which also features film star Mammootty, and jointly produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Anto Joseph Film Company.
