The Milk Powder Importers’ Association yesterday announced an increase in imported milk powder prices, citing prevailing market conditions and exchange rate fluctuations.
Accordingly, the price of a 400 g packet was raised by Rs. 50, while a 1 kg packet was up by Rs. 125. The revised prices came into effect from yesterday (20).
The Association said imported milk powder stocks currently available in the market would not be subject to the price increase. It added that new stocks carrying the revised prices are expected to reach the market within the next week.
