Govt. to study marijuana for export 

The Government is to conduct a study on the prospects of growing marijuana for exports.

The move was announced by President Ranil Wickremesinghe during the presentation of 2023 Budget.

“The possibilities of producing Triloka Wijayapathra purely for the purpose of exports will be examined for which an expert committee will also be established,” the President said.
