The Gamani Corea Foundation (GCF) has announced its collaboration with the Sri Lanka Economic Association (SLEA) for the year 2026.
The collaboration began with the SLEA’s Annual International Conference that was held on 6 February, under the theme ‘Transforming the Services Sector for Economic Recovery in Sri Lanka.’
The SLEA was founded in 1985, Dr. Gamani Corea being its Founder President, with the objective of being an independent economic think tank ultimately serving the people of Sri Lanka. The SLEA council meetings shall be held at the GCF, following in the footsteps of Dr. Corea, who would regularly host economists and intellectuals at the Horton Lodge.
GCF Emeritus Chairperson Dr. Nimal Sanderatne and former GCF Board Member Dr. Saman Kelegama both served as Presidents of the SLEA.
