The Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Ministry yesterday said that the Colombo Fort Railway Station will undergo a Rs. 1.3 billion renovation financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
According to the Ministry, tenders have already been invited, and the project is scheduled for completion within 15 months.
The redevelopment will convert the Fort Railway Station into a modern transport hub with upgraded facilities, with work expected to begin before the end of this year.
