Five COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed five COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 16,450.

Two COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were over 60 years and three were between 30 and 59 years.

Zero COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed from the under-30 age group.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.3% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.39% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.31% are below 30 years.

Four COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and one was female.

A total of 9,278 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are male and 7,172 deaths are female.
