Ex-NMRA chief arrested by CID, grilled for over 10 hours

National Medicines Regulatory Authority’s (NMRA) former CEO Dr. Vijith Gunasekara was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday and questioned for 10 hours. Dr. Gunasekara was apprehended by the CID in connection with the procurement of substandard human intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) vials.
