The Colombo Magistrate’s Court yesterday granted bail to former National Lotteries Board Director Thusitha Halloluwa, who had been in remand custody.
He was released on two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each. The court also imposed a travel ban and directed that his passport be surrendered.
Halloluwa was earlier remanded in connection with a shooting incident involving his vehicle in Narahenpita. He was arrested on 19 August during a raid carried out by the Colombo Crimes Division in Colpetty.
