Curfew lifted for 12 hours today

The curfew currently in effect in the entire island in accordance with the provisions of Section 16 of the Public Security Ordinance will be lifted at 6 a.m. today for a period of 12 hours, the President’s Media Division announced.

The curfew will be re-imposed at 6 p.m. today and will be in effect until 5 a.m. tomorrow.

Accordingly, no one is permitted to stay on a public road, railway line, public park, public playground, or any other public area or beach, without the written permission of an authorising officer during the curfew period.
