Former SIS Director Major General (Retd.) Suresh Salley
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has issued notices on 10 doctors who served on the medical panel that examined former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Major General (Retd.) Suresh Salley, ordering them to appear before court on 6 October.
Colombo Magistrate Pasan Amarasena yesterday issued the notices after considering submissions made by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) through a motion.
Salley, who was arrested in connection with investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks, is receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Colombo.
A report submitted by the medical panel recently revealed before the Fort Magistrate’s Court that Salley has an enlarged heart and that a device has been implanted to manage his condition.
