Condolence message from High Commissioner of Pakistan on behalf of Government and people of Pakistan

The Government and people of Pakistan expressed their deepest solidarity with the Government and people of Sri Lanka in wake of the ongoing severe weather crisis caused by cyclonic conditions and unprecedented heavy rainfall across large parts of country.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to families of those who lost their lives and expressed sympathies to thousands of citizens who are displaced.”

Government of Pakistan commends efforts of Sri Lankan authorities for proactively working with swift and coordinated response in conducting rescue and relief operations.

Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to time tested friendship with Sri Lanka based on mutual respect and shared history and supporting Sri Lanka in challenging times.

Pakistan believes that Sri Lanka is a resilient nation and will surely find strength and courage to overcome this tragedy.
