The Parliamentary Committee on High Posts recently approved the appointments of five new Ambassadors, a High Commissioner and a Ministry Secretary.
Accordingly, Sumadhurika Sashikala Premawardhane as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Indonesia, C.A. Chaminda Inoka Colonne as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mohamed Rizvi Hassen as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Maldives, L.R.M.N.P.G.B. Kadurugamuwa as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Turkey, Ruwanthi Delpitiya as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal, and Marimuththu K. Pathmanaathan as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of South Korea have been recommended by the Committee on High Posts.
In addition, the name of Ayesha Jinasena, PC, has also been recommended by the Committee on High Posts for the appointment as the Secretary to the Justice and National Integration Ministry.
The Committee on High Posts, Chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, comprised MPs Kumara Jayakody, Dr. Anil Jayantha, Harshana Nanayakkara, Dr. Upali Pannilage, Saroja Savithri Paulraj, Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni, Rishad Bathiudeen, Dayasiri Jayasekara, and M. Nizam Kariapper, PC.
