The Committee on High Posts at its meeting held recently approved the appointments of an Ambassador, two Ministry Secretaries, and four Chairmen.
Accordingly, the Committee approved the nomination of Wijesinghe Arachchige Kapila Sanjeewa De Alwis as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman.
The Committee on High Posts also approved the appointments of M.A.L.S.N.K. Manthrinayake as the Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment Ministry Secretary and J.M. Thilaka Jayasundara as the Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Ministry Secretary.
Furthermore, the appointments of Kavinda de Zoysa as the Chairman of the Bank of Ceylon, Priyantha Wedamulla as the Chairman of the Independent Television Network Ltd., Pravir D. Samarasinghe as the Chairman of the Hotel Developers (Lanka) Ltd., and Jayathissa Anaththa Pathiranage as the Chairman of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau have been approved by the Committee on High Posts.
