Indictments have been served before Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihal against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, his son Ramith Rambukwella, his daughter Amali Nayanika Rambukwella, and their housemaid Nipunie Krishnajina in connection with two cases filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
Following the indictments, the Court ordered each accused to be released on a cash bail of Rs. 50,000 with two sureties of Rs. 1 million each and imposed a travel ban. The two cases are scheduled for pre-trial conferences on 12 and 14 January 2026.
In a separate case against Keheliya Rambukwella and his son Ramith, the Court similarly granted bail of Rs. 50,000 with two sureties of Rs. 1 million, imposed a travel ban, and ordered that their fingerprints be obtained and reports submitted to Court. The case is set for a pre-trial conference on 20 January 2026.
