Cardinal and Catholic Bishops’ Conference call on President

The Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith on Wednesday met with President Anura Kumara Disanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.

According to the President’s Office, the Archbishop was accompanied by members of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Sri Lanka for the meeting.

During the meeting, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith briefed President Disanayake on key matters discussed at the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, which is held three times a year.

The discussion also focused on ideas and proposals that have emerged within the Catholic Church.

Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Sri Lanka Chairman Bishop Harold Anthony Perera along with other members of the Conference, attended the meeting.
