Cabinet approves four flyovers funded by Hungary Exim Bank

The Cabinet of Ministers, this week, approved to build four flyovers, which will be funded by a concessionary financial facility by the Hungary Exim Bank.

The flyovers will be constructed at the intersections of Muththettugala railway crossroad in Hiripitiya, Pasyala, Negombo (Maris Stella), and Thalawathugoda to ease the traffic congestion in the identified areas by the Road Development Authority (RDA).

The ongoing projects of Kohuwala and Getambe flyovers are also being implemented under the said project. The two flyover projects in Kohuwala and Getambe are currently under way with Hungarian financial assistance, costing around Rs. 2.6 billion and Rs. 9.4 billion respectively.
