Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Professor Arusha Cooray presented credentials to President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on 10 July at a ceremony held at the Qasr Al Watan, the President’s palace in Abu Dhabi.
Five other newly appointed Ambassadors from the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Ecuador, Slovak Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Republic of Honduras also presented their credentials during the ceremony.
UAE Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Courts Chairman Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also attended the ceremony.
Welcoming the new Ambassadors, Sheikh Al Nahyan affirmed the commitment of the UAE to provide full support from the Government and relevant UAE authorities to help the Ambassadors carry out their duties with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations with their respective countries.
