The Attorney General yesterday requested Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya to appoint a trial at bar to hear the abduction and murder case against former Navy Commander Karannagoda, Commodore D.K.P. Dassanayake and 12 others. The men have been indicted for the abduction and murder of 11 youths between 2008 and 2009.
The youths are alleged to have been held at navy bases in Trincomalee and Colombo before being murdered.
