Health officials yesterday confirmed 72 COVID-19 deaths, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 12,448.

The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.43% of the total fatalities is in the above 60 age group, 22.38% is in the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.19% is in the below-30 age group.

The COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday include 60 persons over the age of 60 and 12 persons in the 30 to 59 age group. Zero deaths were confirmed from the below-30 age group.

42 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and 30 were female. Of the total fatalities, 6,960 are male and 5,488 are female.
