Sixty-one more COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday raised the country’s death toll to 12,847.

The deaths confirmed on Tuesday include 47 persons over the age of 60 and 14 persons in the 30 to 59 age group. The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.44% of the total fatalities belong in the over-60 age group, 22.41% of the total fatalities belong in the 30 to 59 age category, and 1.16% of the total fatalities belong in the under-30 age category.

Thirty-six COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Tuesday were female and 25 fatalities were male. Of the country’s COVID-19 death toll, 7,167 fatalities are male and 5,680 fatalities are female.
