16th SIP International Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition tomorrow

SIP Academy Colombo is the Sri Lankan arm of the SIP academy BND Malaysia, the founders of SIP Abacus and Brain Gym programme. The institute conducts the mental arithmetic training for children between the ages of five and 12 years using the abacus methodology.

SIP Academy Sri Lanka will be hosting the prestigious SIP International Competition which will bring local and international exposure in the field of education in Sri Lanka, with more than 1,000 children participating locally and internationally. Children from Malaysia, India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and UAE are expected to participate in this mega event.

The event is scheduled to be held on Sunday, 9 October at 9:30 a.m. at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo. The theme of the event is ‘SIP Prodigy’.

The agenda has been evolved around in the field of developing children’s confidence and intelligence for some time with ultimate goal of ‘creating awareness’ of the need to promote, support and encourage our children to meet the challenges of the vast changing world. The academy’s international competition is an annual event which will definitely contribute significantly towards its objective.
