10th ANeT Int. Conference kicks off tomorrow

The inauguration ceremony of the 10th ANeT International Conference - 2015 under the theme “Diversity, importance and preservation of the Asian Ant Community,” will be held on 23 October at 1p.m. at the Senate Room at the University of Kelaniya

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Professor Sunanda Madduma Bandara will preside at the event which will be attended by national and international scholars and guest lecturers. The key note address will be delivered by Professor Seiki Yamane of Kagoshima University, Kagoshima, Japan.  This international conference is held once in every two years with the intention of developing knowledge related to ant science in Asia.  This conference is organised by the coordinating officer of the 10th ANeT International Conference, Professor R.K.S. Dias of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management and several members representing the Department of Zoology and Environmental Management.
