Toyota Lanka selects MTI for HR re-engineering and competency development

Toyota Lanka, a member of Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Toyota Group Japan, has approved MTI Consulting’s Competency Integration Model as the basis of an extensive HR re-engineering assignment for Toyota Sri Lanka. Speaking at the launch of the MTI HR consulting assignment, Toyota Sri Lanka Managing Director Yoshiaki Kato said: “Toyota views Sri Lanka as a high growth potential market and we are committed to the development of local talent capabilities. Our assignment with MTI Consulting, who bring an interesting blend of local and international learning’s, is aimed at taking a holistic approach to developing competency framework at an organisational, business and job level and thereby adding value to the bottom line.” MTI HR Solutions who conceptualised, researched and developed the MTI Competency Integration Model is highly customised to Toyota Sri Lanka. The model comprises of 15 modules clustered into four phases; i.e.  Analyse, Develop, Integrate and Measure. “Industry experience shows that most companies tend to take a silo view of competency mapping rather than strategic and holistic. The MTI Competency Integration Model ensures that across the entire HR value chain and competencies become the basis of the key HR decisions. We have optimised our learning’s from the diverse countries and HR challenges that our team has experienced,” said MTI Consulting CEO Hilmy Cader.
