The beloved Bajaj Discover 125 is back

David Pieris Motor Company Ltd. (DPMC) announced the launch of the brand-new Bajaj Discover 125 with local value addition under the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Automobile Manufacturing/Assembling Industry and Automobile Component Manufacturing Industry in Sri Lanka introduced by the Ministry of Industries and the government.

The Bajaj Discover 125, had previously won the hearts of more than half a million Sri Lankans with the proven track record of being the perfect mix of style, performance and fuel efficiency in the 125cc category.

The improved Discover 125 is equipped with many features including: an anti-skid (combi) brake system that aids in maintaining the bike’s balance during braking and a quilt seat that provides a smoother riding experience and better seat grip; a digital gear indicator with a 5-speed gear system to make the journey easier; DRL headlights, tubeless tyres and more.

The Discover 125 motorcycles are available in three new attractive decals (blue, red, and green), with even the alloy wheels of are embellished with similarly coloured stickers adding to its dashing image.

Commenting on Discover 125 launch DPMC General Manager – Vehicle Sales Lakmal de Silva said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Industries & the government for introducing an SOP to protect the industry while making new vehicles available to the public. This is the second bike we launched under the SOP, and we will continue to do so with other Bajaj bikes as well.”

He stated that the new bike was available at DPMC showrooms and its dealers island wide. In 2022, after a break of nearly three years due to import restrictions, DPMC reintroduced the brand-new Bajaj CT100 as the first bike to be launched under the government-introduced SOP. Both the Bajaj CT100 and Bajaj Discover 125 motorcycles are assembled at DPMC’s state-of-theart Manufacturing Complex located in Ranna, in the Hambantota District, with the addition of locally manufactured components that have been tested and approved by Bajaj.
