The Porsche Club Sri Lanka successfully concluded yet another exhilarating two-day drive along the southern coast of Sri Lanka, reinforcing its reputation for delivering exceptional motoring experiences.
The meticulously planned route covered a total distance of approximately 450 kilometres, traversing city streets and urban road networks that truly put both man and machine to the test. A total of 14 Porsche vehicles participated in the drive, including GT3 RS, Carrera 4 GTS, 911, and 718 models, creating an impressive spectacle as the convoy powered through urban routes, drawing attention and admiration from motoring enthusiasts and the general public alike.
Smartphones were quickly raised as the iconic machines roared past, turning heads and capturing moments along the journey. At the end of the first day’s drive, participants arrived at the Weligama Bay Marriott Resort, the event’s hospitality partner, where members were treated to world-class comfort and service.
Weligama, renowned for its surf-friendly beaches and vibrant lifestyle, also offers some of the country’s finest restaurants, cafés, and entertainment venues, providing the perfect backdrop for the gathering. The drive also included visits to popular coastal destinations such as Petti Petti Mirissa and Doctor’s House, adding to the overall experience.
True to the spirit of the club, the two days were filled with fun, fellowship, and a shared passion for Porsche, strengthening bonds among like-minded enthusiasts. The committee of the Porsche Club Sri Lanka continues to demonstrate outstanding leadership through its well-organized calendar of regular drives and activities.
