Jaguar Land Rover Sri Lanka technicians clinch top spots in Technician of the Year competition

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Sri Lanka announced two of its technicians have emerged winners in the prestigious Technician of the Year competition, organised by the Asia Pacific region.

The competition, which is held annually with four rounds, saw technicians from the Asia Pacific region participating in the first round.

The Technician of the Year competition is designed to recognise and commemorate the hardworking technicians who strive to improve their skills, knowledge, and character. Out of the participants, 20 technicians were selected for the third round, with 11 technicians from Sri Lanka making the cut.

From the top 20 technicians, five were selected for the finals, and three of them hailed from Sri Lanka. The competition was tough, but in the end, the dedication and commitment of JLR Sri Lanka technicians shone through, with two of them (Kavinda Perera and Chanaka Perera) clinching the first and third positions respectively.

JLR technicians are known for their outstanding skills and their relentless pursuit of excellence. As a team, they are always looking for better ways to make JLR vehicles perform and fulfil customer’s needs. The win at the Technician of the Year competition is a testament to their commitment to delivering the highest quality of service.
