Sri Lanka’s automotive landscape took a decisive step towards cleaner, smarter mobility on Tuesday as Hayleys Mobility Limited, the mobility arm of Hayleys Fentons Limited, officially unveiled OJ (OMODA and JAECOO) at The Kingsbury Colombo.
As the exclusive authorised distributor, Hayleys Mobility introduces OJ to address growing demands from urban and corporate customers seeking premium vehicles with reduced environmental impact and advanced connectivity.
OMODA and JAECOO are premium brands under the Chery Group, China’s No. 01 passenger vehicle exporter for 23 years and ranked 233rd in the 2025 Fortune Global 500. Through this partnership, customers in Sri Lanka will benefit from manufacturer-backed warranties, a nationwide after-sales service network, and the trust associated with the Hayleys Group’s 148-year legacy.
The initial OJ portfolio features a versatile mix of Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV), and advanced Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) models. The JAECOO range includes the flagship J8, J7 PHEV, J6, J5 combining off-road capability with refined luxury, while the OMODA range comprises the C9 PHEV, the stylish C5, and the fully electric E5, designed for future-focused, tech-savvy drivers.
