GS EVO Motors Ltd., the authorised distributor of JMEV Electric Vehicles in Sri Lanka, has launched the JMEV EWIND, a next-generation compact electric SUV engineered to deliver exceptional performance, intelligent technology, premium comfort, and uncompromising safety.
The arrival of the JMEV EWIND marks another significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s electric mobility journey, offering motorists an advanced electric SUV that combines striking design with cutting-edge engineering and sustainable driving.
Designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s drivers, the JMEV EWIND features a sleek aerodynamic exterior highlighted by penetrating LED daytime running lights, trapezoidal chain-inspired LED tail lamps, stylish 19 Inch alloy wheels, and a bold, contemporary silhouette that commands attention on every road.
Inside, the EWIND offers a refined and spacious cabin equipped with a panoramic moonroof with a stylish Retractable curtain, ultra-thin suspended instrument panel, D-shaped multifunction steering wheel, multi-colour ambient lighting, premium interior finishes, and an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 4 way electrically adjustable passenger seat creating a driving experience that is both luxurious and practical.
Powered by advanced electric vehicle technology, the JMEV EWIND is available in single-motor front-wheel drive configurations, delivering up to 108 kW of maximum power output and 210 Nm of maximum torque and 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 8.9 seconds, offering exhilarating performance while maintaining outstanding efficiency.
Depending on the selected battery configuration, the EWIND offers a driving range of up to 610 kilometres (NEDC), Battery capacity of 70.38(kWh), providing confidence for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
Safety remains a cornerstone of the EWIND’s design. Built on a high-strength steel-aluminium lightweight body structure, the vehicle features a five-star safety design philosophy, six airbags, ABS, EBA, EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Door Open Alert (DOA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and a comprehensive suite of intelligent safety technologies that deliver peace of mind on every journey.
The Company said 8 years or 150,000Km Battery Warranty and 5 years or 150,000KM for Vehicle Warranty will be provided. Further, GS EVO Motors will be providing first 5 Labour and Material free services.
