DPMC’s Workshop Madapatha now handles commercial vehicles too

The new Commercial Vehicle Facility at the DPMC Workshop Madapatha

Marking another milestone, Sri Lanka’s largest automotive company, David Pieris Motor Company, recently introduced a facility for the maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles at DPMC Workshop Madapatha.

DPMC Workshop Madapatha is now gearing to undertake servicing and repairs of all commercial vehicles including mini cabs, buddy lorries, buses, single/double cabs, freezer lorries, tippers, containers and prime movers.

The Commercial Vehicle Facility of DPMC Workshop Madapatha was declared opened by David Pieris Group Group Chairman and Managing Director Rohana Dissanayake, at a simple ceremony under COVID-19 regulations and was attended by key officials of the David Pieris Group. 

It was fitting that the date also marked the 28th anniversary of David Pieris Motor Company which was celebrated with the traditional cutting of a cake.

DPMC Deputy General Manager (Services) Channa Ranawaka said: “DPMC Workshop Madapatha services and repairs all types of cars and SUVs in addition to Bajaj vehicles. We are excited to extend our expertise to commercial vehicles too as a part of our expansion strategy.”

He went on to say that they would now undertake the maintenance, periodical servicing, running repairs, tinkering and painting, accident repairs, suspension, A/C repairs, electrical and electronic repairs, greasing, engine, fuel system and gearbox repairs with washing and interior cleaning of commercial vehicles. 

DPMC Workshop Madapatha maintains and repairs the entire commercial fleet of the Group Company DP Logistics and the experience, exposure and expertise gathered has led to DPMC Workshop Madapatha extending this service to external customers as well with the opening of the Commercial Vehicle Facility.

As the introductory offer, the DPMC Workshop Madapatha will give 10% off on labour charges and a 5% discount for spare parts when servicing or repairing commercial vehicles at the new facility.
