Continental Cars and Commercials Ltd., the official authorised importer for Volkswagen passenger vehicles in Sri Lanka, ceremonially launched the all-new Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus at the prestigious Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) on 28 May 2026.
The highly anticipated launch marks a historic milestone for Volkswagen in Sri Lanka, reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to the local market while introducing a new generation of premium German-engineered mobility solutions designed specifically for modern Sri Lankan consumers.
The launch event featured an immersive unveiling experience combining advanced digital presentations, cultural performances, entertainment segments, executive presentations, and dynamic product showcases that highlighted Volkswagen’s globally recognised standards in engineering, technology, safety, and design excellence.
The launch was conducted in collaboration with Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Ltd., the regional operational and manufacturing hub for Volkswagen Group brands in India.
