The Motor Rally 2026, organised by the Ceylon Automobile Importers’ Association (CAIA) with CDB Finance PLC as the title sponsor, is scheduled to take place on 16 August 2026.
The event aims to bring together Sri Lanka’s leading automobile importers, corporate partners, and automotive enthusiasts on one platform to celebrate the diversity and innovation of the automotive industry while fostering networking, collaboration, and a shared passion for motoring.
The rally is expected to attract a distinguished gathering of industry stakeholders and participants who share a passion for automobiles and a responsible motoring culture in Sri Lanka. The official launch of the event took place at a press conference on 30 July 2026, where the organisers revealed the rally concept, route, and key partners supporting the initiative.
The Motor Rally showcases a wide range of vehicles from some of Sri Lanka›s leading automobile importers and provides participants with a unique opportunity to experience a carefully curated route through Colombo and its surrounding suburbs. The rally promotes safe driving, camaraderie among motoring enthusiasts, and greater engagement within the local automotive sector.
