Janashakthi triumphant at SLIM NASCO 2015 with highest number of awards

Janashakthi Insurance recently emerged triumphant at the National Sales Congress (NASCO) 2015 for their significant sales efforts. With a total of seven awards Janashakthi walked away with the highest number of awards in the insurance industry. The ceremony was organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and held at Waters Edge.

The Gold and Silver award in the Territory Manager category for General Insurance was won by Ranga Dias and Jayanath Alwis respectively. Sasanka Fernando and Charitha Dushantha took the Gold and Silver respectively in the Front-Liner category for General Insurance. Vijitha Samarakkodige won the Silver award in the Sales Supervisor category for General Insurance. For Life Insurance Rehen Gunawardena won Silver in the Territory Manager category and Aruna Fernando won the Bronze in the Front-Liner category.

Commenting on the achievement Suresh Basnayake, National Sales Manager – General Insurance, said, “We are greatly honoured by the awards bestowed upon us and understand that none of this would have been possible without the significant efforts of our team and the faith our customers have in us. This feat is made even more remarkable by the fact that this year saw a record breaking number of participants vie for these prestigious awards. And as we move forward we will continue to build on our strengths and provide our customers with an unmatchable service and product.”

SLIM NASCO has solidified its position in Sri Lanka over nine years to be regarded as the premier event for sales people. This was acknowledged by the record number of participants for this year’s awards. With over 350 entries the competition in each category was fierce.

Also commenting on the victory Duminda Bandara, National Sales Manager – Life Insurance, said, “I’m delighted that our sales team has been recognised for the extra mile they go to achieve their fantastic work. And I’m proud of the team that stood behind each and every one of those individuals that won, helping them achieve this momentous feat.”
