Coke stamps its authority at SLIM-Nielsen awards

Beverage Giants Coca-Cola stamped its authority at the SLIM – Nielsen People’s Awards 2011 held recently by being awarded Co-Winners of the prestigious “Beverage Brand of the Year”, in addition to being awarded the “Youth Beverage Brand of the Year” for the fourth consecutive year.

Coke said this is a marvelous victory in itself, as the winners of the SLIM – Nielsen People’s Awards are judged by the consumers themselves.

Patrick Pech, Country Manager — Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Limited, stated “We owe this win to all our loyal consumers. We strive to refresh our consumers day in and day out and this is truly a reward for doing so — we touched their lives and they rewarded us in return.” Winning the “Beverage Brand of The Year” is a huge achievement considering new rising competition in the cola market, though not entirely surprising since Coca-Cola’s “Open Happiness” campaign touched the hearts and minds of young and old alike.
