  •  Sri Lankan marketing’s premier recognition platform crowns winners in Colombo; Sunshine Consumer celebrates multiple accolades

Sunshine Consumer has emerged as one of the top winners at the prestigious Dragons of Sri Lanka 2025, held on Friday, 22 August. The company took home 10 Dragons awards, including five metals and five Black Dragons, reaffirming its position as one of Sri Lanka’s most dynamic and innovative FMCG players.

The company’s brands shone brightly across categories. Watawala secured a Gold Dragon for the impactful Wesak campaign that was done to enable transport among Wesak zones for those visiting Colombo on foot. Zesta was recognised with Gold and Silver Dragons for the inspiring “My Zesta Story” campaign. Daintee won a Bronze Dragon for the magical “Gingerbread House” campaign, which captivated young audiences during the festive season, while X-tra earned a Bronze Dragon for the bold “X-tra” campaign that resonated strongly with youth.

In addition, Sunshine Consumer earned five Black Dragons for outstanding work across campaigns. Ran Kahata received two Black Dragons for the empowering “රන් කහට මගේ මතේ ” campaign, while Watawala Tea earned three Black Dragons for “අපිව එකතු කලේ වටවල ” and its Wesak campaigns, marking a truly remarkable sweep for the company.

Established in 2000, the Dragons of Asia recognise the best results-driven marketing across the region and culminate with the Dragons of Asia and Dragons of Malaysia awards in October. Sri Lanka’s local program now provides a dedicated stage for homegrown excellence and a pathway to Asia-wide recognition, spotlighting brands and campaigns that consistently push boundaries.
