The brief? There wasn’t one. Just a name, a dream, and a childhood rhyme: Jack and Jill. With only an idea in hand, Seven Media dove headfirst into strategy before aesthetics, unpacking the “why” behind the brand, identifying a gap in the frozen dairy space, and shaping a unique identity rooted in emotion, nostalgia, and bold personality.
To break free from the cookie-cutter norms of frozen dessert branding, Seven introduced a character at the heart of the story — Jack, a chill polar bear with massive mascot appeal. Designed to charm both kids and adults, Jack brings the brand to life with cool vibes, a playful edge, and a global-ready identity.
Ditching loud, trend-driven visuals, the team opted for a cooler-toned colour palette, a distinct logo, and a typographic style that is anything but ordinary. Every detail was carefully crafted to reflect a nostalgic, storybook feel—playful yet polished, quirky yet cool.
Inspired by that age-old rhyme, Jack and Gelato reimagines storytelling through original comic strips, packaging, and witty copy—turning every scoop into a tale worth telling.
The brand’s first appearance at a local carnival pop-up was a runaway success, instantly winning hearts across generations. A few weeks later, Jack and Gelato opened its flagship outlet in Negombo, bringing its dreamy gelato world to life in a vibrant, storybook-inspired space.
What makes this journey even sweeter? Seven Media handed the reins to its younger creatives, empowering a new wave of talent to lead with heart, hustle, and imagination. From blank canvas to buzzworthy brand, Jack and Gelato is more than just a dessert stop, its proof that dreams, when backed by storytelling and strategy, can become iconic.

We had just one week to bring the brand to life—but with a client as decisive and passionate as Shenaya, and a young, talented team who thinks beyond the conventional, we knew it was possible.
